Goa: MLAs who joined BJP and CM Sawant get there in Delhi, to meet PM Modi

The 8 MLAs who switched to BJP in Goa are established to meet up with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant arrived in Delhi along with the 8 newly inducted MLAs, who defected to the BJP from the Congress, late at evening on Sunday.

CM Sawant explained, “We have come to Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”

 

Earlier on September 14, all the eight MLAs Digambar Kamat, Michael Lobo, Delilah Lobo, Rajesh Phaldesai, Kedar Naik, Sankalp Amonkar, Aleixo Sequeira and Rudolf Fernandes joined BJP after assembly Chief Minister Pramod Sawant at the Assembly complex.

“I went to a temple, asked Gods and Goddesses that this (signing up for BJP) is in my brain, what ought to I do… God claimed, you go in advance, don’t get worried,” said previous Congress MLA Digambar Kamat.

“We have merged with BJP with a bulk of 2/3rd to reinforce the palms of PM Modi and CM Pramod Sawant… Congress Chhodo, BJP ko Jodo,” said former Congress MLA Michael Lobo.

In the meantime, Goa CM Sawant also took a jibe at Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra and said, “Congress Chhodo Yatra will start from Goa now” though welcoming the leaders.

The BJP previously holds a the greater part of 25 in the Property of 40 of which there are its have 20 MLAs with two other people from the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Get together and 3 impartial leaders.

Soon after becoming a member of 8 Congress MLAs, its rely will rise to 33.
